Opening: The SNARI Meeting took place on Monday, October 15th, at 6:00PM in Room 2240, at the Knight Campus of Community College of Rhode Island.

1. Director’s Report
   1. Higher Membership Rates
      1. Encouragement of new members to join or participate in SNARI meetings.
   2. Have more sponsors/organizations become more involved with SNARI.
2. President’s Report
   1. Recap on goals from last month
   2. Nancy Lancaster, President RISNA offering a seat on RISNA board to SNARI Student Nurse perspective:Next meeting: October 22, 2018 Fatima Hospital at 4:00pm
      1. If seat is offered to any representative in SNARI, for rotational purposes
      2. Date and time for next month’s meeting
   3. Met with CCRI Level I and II Nursing Chair for Convention Ideas
      1. Emphasized on the importance of new breakout session ideas

Ongoing Projects:

1. Holiday Event/Charity Ideas
   1. Thanksgiving-Thanksgiving Baskets to families or Churches
      1. Existing Organizations? (Be the Change in Warwick)
   2. CCRI Student Government Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner (Volunteers?)
   3. Christmas – “Operation Shoe Box”-Toy Drive?
   4. Adopting a family or families
      1. SNO at CCRI is running an adoptive family.
      2. Started and will deliver 1 week before Christmas
2. SNARI 2019
   1. Unity of RI Nursing Students
      1. Horizontal Violence, Bullying-Refer to Nurse Blake
   2. Promoting Higher Ed-BSN, MSN
      1. Include Speakers of LPNs, RNs, FNPs, etc.
   3. Breakout Sessions
      1. CEUS to encourage faculty to come
      2. Resume /Cover Letter for Breakout Sessions
      3. HR Representatives from Nursing Homes and Hospitals
      4. LPN-RN Bridge Program
      5. More Vendors?
