Discussion: Jan 23 newsletter out, Career planning issue. Explained resources available. Reminded students about the national convention. Schools who have enough NSNA members to be eligible to attend: CCRI, St Joe's, RIC, and URI.

Topic: Treasurer’s Report (Meghan Butka)
Discussion: $45 November/December. Amount in bank account $2058.70. In PayPal account 578.60 Total: $2592.30. Deposit paid for convention venue is paid.
Discussion: Tentative headcounts: CCRI: 600, Salve: 25, St Joseph's: 125, URI: 75, RIC: will get back to M. Butka. Keynote speaker set, Anne Sliney. As for the panel of speakers there are three now and we are looking for more. Still waiting to hear back from another potential panelist with confirmation. People can contact C. Speziale for more information about ideas for panelist. Questions for panelist will be entered online. Last year people were able to text in questions. Food bank for food drive will be contacted by J. Jose. Kaplan will fill in slot for Linda Silvestri. They will tailor their presentation to us. RISNA will like to speak 10 minutes in opening of convention and would like an additional 15 minutes before lunch or within the first half of the day. Vendors as of right now: Homestead, Red Cross, Lifespan (2 tables), Alexander's Uniforms, and Walden University. Officer nominations: send an email to notify nominees and to confirm that they would like to run for positions. C. Speziale will meet with UNAP to request donation for coffee and breakfast bar.

Topic: Community Outreach Update (Ashley Gauthier/Marla Riley)
Discussion: Received contact at Hasbro Library about book drive. Marla will construct email to send out students.
Action: Will look into ordering more I heart nursing t-shirts for 2013 convention.
Topic: New Business
Discussion: Class of 2013 at St. Joes would like to do a fundraiser at the convention to make money to help cover their graduation expenses. Wrist bands to be ordered for SNARI convention, Marla will look into it pricing once more. M. Tannozzini came up with idea of using twitter instead of texting questions.
Action: Everyone in agreement that it would be okay for the student nurses associations of each school to sell their merchandise at convention. Will have to sell their merchandise upstairs with vendors and at tables representing their schools. Marla will bring prices for bracelets next meeting.
